Disordered eating and eating disorders
Brigid works in collaboration with other health professionals in the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating and disordered eating.
Brigid is a trained Intuitive Eating Counsellor helping clients move away from food rules and a restrictive mindset around food and relearn how to eat based on body cues of hunger, fullness and satisfaction. Learn more.
Womens health and PCOS
Brigid has a particular interest in womens health including helping them with hormonal imbalances such as PCOS, pregnancy, weight and body image concerns and family nutrition.
Brigid has trained with the Ellyn Satter Institute. She can support parents to implement the division of responsibility in feeding to help with fuss eaters, weight concern and encourage children to develop a positive relationship with food.

Brigid Horan works as part of the team at The Lighthouse Clinic in Kiama NSW. The Lighthouse Clinic are a group practice providing psychiatry, psychology and dietetic services to the community.
Brigid is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Intuitive Eating Counsellor who works from the Non-Diet Approach. She specialises in helping people improve their relationship with food and their body and works with other health professionals in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. She is skilled at helping people move away from dieting, food rules and restriction to build a more relaxed approach to food based on their internal body cues. The principles of Intuitive Eating can also be applied to diabetes management, PCOS, chronic dieting.
